Sultans of Steroids: Before and After Pics of MLB’s Suspected Juicers
Investigations, accusations, and Congressional hearings aside, here’s a look at some telling pictures of current and former Major League Baseball (MLB) players who have been linked to steroids. Look at the Before (right side) and the After (left side) . . . and you be the judge:
Barry Bonds

Mark McGwire

Raffy Palmeiro

Miguel Tejada

Jason Giambi

Gary Sheffield

Jose Canseco

Brady Anderson

Sammy Sosa

Guillermo Mota

Ivan Rodriguez

Jason Grimsley

Matt Lawton

Who’s to say everyone’s not playing by the rules?

Bonds, Sosa, Giambi, and Canseco actually look like they’ve expanded. From Head to Toe. And Sheff…not sure. The rest are kinda hard to tell.

this shit is retarded. these dudes were skinny to begin with. I could show you a picture of myself before i started lifting and one after years later, and you would say the same ignorant thing. juice! maybe these teams incorporated nutrition and weight lifting in their training regime.

Giambi is pretty funny in those pics. Canseco looks like a pro wrestler in that one picture but he was on gas in the other pic too. Bonds defo went overboard with the Juice.

It should be noted that people take a long time to get big and often men in their 40’s are the biggest muscle wise if they’ve always worked out. It takes a while to get bigger. I think comparing these guys to their rookie cards is kind of silly, even bonds. People can get bigger with the right diet and other supliments (other than steroids and legal). It’s not everyone’s interest to get THAT big but to some, they do it. Also, most of the before and after pics I see of Bonds are stupid because the current pic is a different zoom than the old one so it makes him look bigger. I’d say only a few guys on here look like they might have taken steroids, but just because someone gets bigger, is no proof that they did. I play Ice Hockey all the time and I don’t care to be that big, but if that was my goal, I could get much much bigger without steroids. Just eat A LOT and have lots of steroids and lift for max rather than many reps. But I think it’s all just nonsense and stupid because A Rod will demolish Bond’s record so c’mon, let’s hear all the A Rod haters come out now, cuz if not, you all better shut the hell up later when he’s getting close to breaking Bond’s home run record.

I think the before photo of Brady Anderson is of Ryan Anderson.

You know maguiel tajeda i dont think should be on there he does not look like he has changed he doesnt hit many homers like the guys like McGwire, bonds, sosa, shef. And lawton COME ON he’s small

The sad thing is, is baseball is a pretty boring sport and if it wasnt for these “juicers” hitting homeruns there wouldn’t be many fans in the stands.

Clearly McGwire got big from all of the milk he drank

I have no respect for Sosa & McGwire, and the rest of these steroid clowns. No one thinks about how the records that they broke were broken in a very short period of time, and how funny that all these guys were breaking records at the same time..I mean hello? You seriously want me to believe it was just a coincidence all these beefed up steroid freaks managed to break all these records around the same time? Records that have stood for so many years? Numerically speaking, that wouldn’t add up..unless all these guy were doing steroids and other drugs to artificially pump themselves up and give themselves an advantage the original record makers never had. They should discard these fake record breakings, because they mean nothing compared to the men who originally made those records working only with sweat and natural strength -not drugs, steroids and amphetamines. Last but not least, funny how all these steroid freaks like Sosa & McGwire have deflated and slimmed down ever since this scandal broke out..if they had bulked up naturally, then why don’t they still look the same? Again, the evidence is obvious and clear.

Ummm, that’s Ryan Anderson next to Brady. 6′10″ Randy Johnson clone who flamed out with the M’s. I think he may have needed the juice.

hahaha- all those people above who said these guys aren’t juicers look silly now
January 8th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Yes, I will not deny these guys used steroids and some of the guys it is plain to see but when you compare someone’s rookie card to what they look like 10 or 15 years later isn’t fair. Look at someone like Bernie Williams when he was a rookie or Derek Jeter. They were all skinny kids and developed their strength and bodies over time. But if you look at Bonds in the late 90s and then from 2000-2001 on is a better comparison. Same with all of these guys. You can’t compare pictures that are a decade or so apart

Was that Barry Bonds or Tina Turner?
February 13th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
I dont think all these guys did steroids just because they get big over the years. They lift weights everyday thats one reasson they are getting so big.
